We went camping at Deer Run RV Resort near Crossville, Tennessee, this weekend. We had fun. A little warmer than we had anticipated, but had fun anyway. We got to use Jessie's new bicycle trailer, which I had the pleasure of towing her around the campground with my bike. Good leg workout!
Jessie is getting better at not eating everything, including bugs, dirt, and gravel. She likes to pick up things...well, everything, and bring it to you. It is kinda cute, but you can amass a pile of stuff if you are sitting outside!
As we sat outside this weekend, she would wave at people walking/riding by. We got a lot of laughter from that. The walkers/riders liked it too. She did the same at the restaurants we ate at this weekend, too. She loves going to restaurants and sitting where she can watch people and wave at them. Of course, we facilitate that by choosing our seats around a table and facing her a certain way.
Jessie was teething this weekend so we missed quite a bit of sleep. Sunday night, she awakened several times, and wouldn't go back to sleep. We think she had a belly ache to go along with the teething.
We fed her eggs this weekend for the first time. She loved them, but MAN does it make stinky poop! Even for two experienced nurses, our eyes watered a bit!
The first picture is of Jessie eating from the Cumberland Mountain State Park Restaurant buffet. She ate nearly a whole plate!
The next two pictures were possibly the sweetest thing that happened this weekend. Unless she has been in a swing at daycare, she experienced swinging for the first time! She was quite tentative at first, but soon started laughing and having fun while swinging. That's what the other two pictures are about.
Then, after swinging, she walked with one of us on each side, holding our finger. First time for that too! She's always been too independent to want to hang on to us. However, she had never walked on uneven ground like we were on, so I think she liked the stability/security of holding on to us.
