New high

Jessie has gone to a new high (low?). She has broken something made by Rubbermaid, making it virtually unusable.

Things heard...

Things heard being said by a Crockett family member during this past weekend's camping trip:

1. Jessie is throwing up. Pull over.
2. Jessie is throwing up again. Pull over.
3. Jamie just threw up. It's not much. Maybe we can keep going.
4. I knew that there would be vomit when I decided to deep clean my truck.
5. I know we just met this morning, but my kid just threw up in your chair.
6. You can't get married if you have bad pajamas.
7. Wake up. I need paper towels. Jessie just threw up in the bed.
8. Where is the extra toilet paper? No, it's not there. I guess we are out.
9. Where are the garbage bags? I guess we are out.
10. How much could we get for the camper?
11. Twelve to fifteen thousand, but probably could get more for one kid.
12. Isn't there some Febreze somewhere?
13. It is raining. Again.
14. After #'s 1, 2, and 7: Mommy, I'm hungry.
15. Jamie Lyn, stop playing wi....Nevermind. Play with the knife. I'm tired.

Grannies

Jessie told Granny she was breakable when she hugged her when she got here.
Later, we were trying to get Daddy to drink water, and Jessie told him if he didn't, he would get old and dried up.
The first thing she told me at the door was she asked me if I was all better from my surgery.  She wanted to see it (the incision).  Her eyes got big. The bruising is getting lighter.  It is still awfully hard to get into bed and out and to turn over.  But all in all, I think I am doing ok.  I am just so glad to have had it done.
Love ya.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Is it possible that a child can inherit, by genes, a song in their brain? Jessie and I ate watching the Braves, and she broke out singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." She sang the whole song unassisted. She does not know who taught her. I asked where she learned it, and Jessie replied, "It's just in my head." Maybe it is in my DNA.
