July camping trip
These are pictures from July when the Waits went camping with us at Manchester KOA. They stayed in a cute Kamping Kabin. The girls had a blast, as you can see.

From Mama Sue
From Mama Sue, on a recent several-day visit:
I had not had a chance to tell you how much we enjoyed having Jessie. She was so good. She didn't get into stuff. She was obedient. She would ask if she could play with something and when I said no, she said ok. If I said yes, she said thank you. She stayed in her chair to eat and ate what we put on her plate. She really likes Daddy Jim's sausage. We get that real lean Jimmy Dean sausage. One morning she ate a piece of sausage and two waffles with only a little syrup and her milk. Only one night did she not stay in her bed all night. We had told her several times to come to us when she woke up . I happened to be awake myself when I heard her door open and she came to my side of the bed and just stood there. I pulled her into bed with me. I told her when she went to sleep Daddy Jim would take her back to her bed, and she said ok, but we all went to sleep until getting up time. She was just so much fun.
We didn't go outside very much, because it was so very hot. One day we went out and she said, It's ho-o-o-ot! Daddy Jim couldn't believe how she loved popcorn. He put her some in a quart bowl about 1/3 full. She ate that and I poured some of mine into her bowl and she ate that and came back for more. She got my bowl and poured a little into her bowl and gave it to me and took my bowl! Looking up at me grinning as she did it.
She loved for me to send her after something like the tv remote or a hair brush. She would get it and start back to me, calling out, I got it! She found out she could open the refrigerator while she was here, so she would bring me something from it or put something back for me. And she wanted grape juice at breakfast like Daddy Jim. I poured a little in the little stainless cup three times and she never spilled a drop drinking it. Daddy Jim liked her going to sleep in his arms too. Those times will be too soon gone. We did not have to use even time-outs while she was here. I was worried about her minding us because we saw she didn't care if she was put in time out the last time we were there at your house. She didn't talk back to us either. Well, I could go on and on, but by now, you are thinking we got her mixed up with another child anyway!! Thank you for letting her come. Tell her I miss her and I love her.
Love, Mama Sue
